Silver Zone is the budget choice for anyone leaving a car for a day or more. The dedicated Long Stay car park is currently closed for a major upgrade and public-transport interchange rebuild, due to reopen in spring 2026, so Silver Zone is the main long-stay option in the meantime. Premium and closer on-site parking is available at higher rates; check the current daily figure on the airport site when you book.

Short Stay tariff

Short Stay suits slightly longer waits than a quick drop-off. From 5 January 2026 the tariff is:

Time in Short StayCharge
Up to 15 minutes£8.50
15 to 30 minutes£10.50
30 to 45 minutes£13.00
45 to 60 minutes£25.00
1 to 4 hours£30.00

Pre-book versus turning up

Booking online is far cheaper than paying at the gate, where prices can be roughly 75 percent higher than the pre-booked rate. Short Stay and Drop and Go tariffs both rose on 5 January 2026, the second annual increase in a row, so older price guides are out of date. If you only need to set someone down or collect them, you do not need a car park at all: see the drop-off and pick-up page for the charges and the free Waiting Zone alternative. If you would rather skip driving entirely, the public transport page covers the 24-hour A1 Flyer from £9.50.
