Bristol city centre and Temple Meads

These are the two busiest destinations. A taxi is around £35 to £55 off-peak and takes 25 to 40 minutes to the centre. The cheaper route is the 24-hour A1 Airport Flyer coach from £9.50, which calls at both Bedminster and Temple Meads before the city centre, covered on the public transport page. For rail onward from Temple Meads, the Flyer plus a train is the standard combination, since the airport itself has no station.

Bath

Bath is about 18 to 19 miles away, 45 to 60 minutes by road. The direct public-transport link is the Air Decker A4 coach, roughly £10 to £19 and about an hour, avoiding a change in Bristol. A taxi is quicker door to door at an indicative £45 to £70.

Weston-super-Mare and the coast

Weston-super-Mare is close by at about 15 to 16 miles, 25 to 35 minutes by road, with an indicative taxi fare of £40 to £60. There is no direct dedicated airport coach, so a taxi or private hire is usually the simplest option.

Cardiff and further afield

Cardiff is about 35 to 40 miles across the Severn, 50 to 65 minutes by taxi at an indicative £90 to £130. The public-transport alternative is the A1 Flyer to Bristol then a train across to Cardiff Central. For longer trips towards Taunton, Exeter and Plymouth, the Stagecoach Falcon coach runs south from the airport; check current times and fares on the public transport page.
